Diabetes FundraisingIn February 2016, NHS organized a Hoops for Hope basketball tournament to raise money for the American Diabetes Association. In addition to this event, NHS also had a fundraising week where students could buy paper basketballs to hang on the door of their homeroom. The homeroom with the highest amount of basketballs would win a prize.

Hoops for HopeThere were five teams who participated. Four of the teams were students and one team was made of faculty members. Each team were to play in a small bracket where the ending game would be against the faculty. In the finale, a team named "Soccer is Better" won against the faculty, meaning they get to choose a punishment for the staff members.

The winning team, ironically named "Soccer is Better", was able to choose a punishment for the faculty team as their reward.
